Rewards Are Positive Cues

  • It’s easy to get caught up in all or none thinking such as “I either get the big prize or I fail”
  • If you have a regular reward system for every time you follow through, you will build up a large inventory of successes and proof of your character
  • Then the next time your brain says, “you always blow it,” you can look around and have lot’s of immediate cues to show that just isn’t true
  • When setting new goals, if you think you are dreaming up the impossible, it is your past rewards that will remind you of your many abilities and your track record in meeting commitments
  • Your reward system will say to you that your new dream or goal is possible
