Lesson 25 - Life Purpose: Slide 9

Your Purpose Clarifies Who You Are
- First of all we need to be who we really are
- Focusing first on ‘being’ enables us to do what we want to do, which in turn lets us have what we need
- This is the opposite of first focusing primarily on having or accumulating, so that we can do things, and then be what we want to be
- Our way of being is defined by what we say ‘yes’ to and what we say ‘no’ to on a moment by moment basis, including our thoughts, feelings, and actions
- A purpose statement makes it easier to align our choices with our core values
