A Purpose Statement Is
Short And Powerful
- Ideally a purpose statement is short and to the point
- About 20 words is a good target
- If you have trouble restricting the length of your purpose statement, perhaps you haven’t reached the real heart of it
- An effective purpose statement is:
- Empowering, grounding, and gives you
a sense of pleasure and connection
- Gives you a sense of listening to
yourself, of being understood
- Invites you to enact it and live it
