Plan To Get More Active Throughout The Day
- You can burn more calories and feel better by moving more
- Choose the table or chair farthest from the door when you enter a room
- Choose the long way to walk to meals or activities
- Walk more briskly and swing your arms
- Jog on the spot or swing your arms when on the phone
- Stretch often throughout the day
- Take two trips to do your laundry
- Walk the stairs several times when you feel restless instead of eating or having a coffee or cigarette
- Create a goal to walk extra steps each day
