Plan To Get More Active Throughout The Day

  • You can burn more calories and feel better by moving more
  • Choose the table or chair farthest from the door when you enter a room
  • Choose the long way to walk to meals or activities
  • Walk more briskly and swing your arms
  • Jog on the spot or swing your arms when on the phone
  • Stretch often throughout the day
  • Take two trips to do your laundry
  • Walk the stairs several times when you feel restless instead of eating or having a coffee or cigarette
  • Create a goal to walk extra steps each day
