Step 3: Refocus On Another Activity
- Refocus means do another
behavior and take action
- When you are trying to overcome
urges to do behaviors such as
drinking, using drugs, gambling
or compulsive sex, Refocus your
attention on a useful, constructive,
enjoyable activity such as
gardening, drawing, reading
- The more you practice the
refocus step, the easier it becomes
- It’s not how you feel, it’s what you do that counts
