The Key To A Loving Relationship

  • Research shows that demographic variables are not related to satisfaction in a relationship, that is, age, sex, wealth, religious affiliation or education
  • Each partner’s feelings about the relationship are dependent entirely on their own attitudes not their partners
  • Other-blame was the most important attitude in predicting dissatisfaction
  • People who blamed their partners or people in general for the problems in their relationships were:
  • Angry
  • Frustrated
  • Unhappy
  • Intensely dissatisfied with their relationships
