- Reassure yourself, “You are doing a good job; you are doing your best”
- When you can praise yourself, you free yourself
- Family approval is no longer needed to change your behavior
- You no longer expect it, you no longer need it
- Accept and enjoy their approval and support, when and if it comes
- Thank yourself
