Marital And Family Problems

  • To prevent relapse it is important for you to:
  • Be aware of and avoid “people, places, and things” that you associate with the using of drugs and alcohol
  • Practice and use coping skills to manage the drug and alcohol related cues that may be unavoidable in your daily life
  • It is unrealistic to expect that you can solve the addiction problems of friends and family
  • It is safer to maintain some distance from actively using people and to stay focused on your own relapse prevention
