Too Little Sleep Increases Risk Of Sickness

  • Increases the risk of diabetes, heart disease, and obesity
  • Headaches, stomach problems, and sore joints occur after only a few nights of 5 or 6 hours sleep Too little sleep causes:
  • Weakened immune system because fewer white blood cells are produced
  • Increased risk of infections
  • Longer recovery time from infections or injury
