You Are Teaching Yourself Negative Response Prevention

  • Don’t try to eliminate the cravings and urges, work around them and they automatically begin to reduce
  • You are learning to control your negative behavioral responses
  • The best Refocusing activities require concentration, strategy, involve other people and bring you pleasure:
  • Jogging alone is less likely to take your mind off urges than a game of bridge, solving a work problem or jogging with someone else
  • Give yourself credit for every little improvement you make, the more you change your behavior the more your thoughts will change
