Defining Friendship

  • Trying to force a friend to meet all our needs is a useless and potentially destructive exercise
  • People have significantly better friendships when they know and can easily describe what each friend contributes to the relationship
  • A true friend is someone who measurably improves your life, a person in your work or personal life whom you can’t afford to live without
