Friendship:
- Exists between at least 2 people unrelated by blood
- Is optional or voluntary
- Is not based on a
legal contract
- Is reciprocal
- There seems to be informal consensus that friends should not be lovers or sexually intimate or the relationship becomes something more than friendship
