Different Birth Order Helps Siblings Turn Out Different

  • Take a piece of paper and make a list of your siblings in order of birth
  • Birth order explains some of the differences in siblings because it explains differences in age, size, power, and privilege
  • Who came first and who came last makes a difference
  • If you are an only child:
  • Your qualities often match that of an eldest sibling
  • Your life has much less parental conflict
  • Your life has much less total conflict due to lack of competition for limited parental resources
