Lesson 31: Parents and Children - Slide 19

Empathy For Better Relationships
- Developing empathy:
- Is not about making excuses for bad behavior
- Is about working to become an adult who acknowledges life’s complexities
- Working toward a mature well-thought-out acceptance of the past is the key to achieving adulthood
- This is true whether your parents are an active part of your life or not; whether they are alive or dead
