Peer Pressure
- People who quit are frequently confronted after they quit by friends and associates who urge them to use, share, and sell drugs
- Some are pressured to prove once more that they are “one of the gang” or that they “have the guts” to use drugs heavily again
- Some may be motivated to use again by a need to gain or maintain acceptance with those who use and have money and power
