  • They see a clear verbal boundary as a challenge to be defeated
  • If someone gives you reason to fear them, before you set a boundary, first assess your own risk
  • If you, your children, home or possessions would be endangered by setting verbal boundaries, create a physical boundary through distance or relocating
  • Seek help from trustworthy people and seek professional counsel to ensure your safety and security
