What Can You Do About Emotional Oversensitivity?

  • Use humor
  • Remind yourself that every day these feelings will occur less and less
  • Use the techniques taught in the relaxation and anger management groups
  • Alert your family that this is a normal reaction during early abstinence
  • Get extra exercise to reduce stress
  • Get extra rest, these feelings can wear you out
