Self-Efficacy Is Developed When You:

  • Take time to clearly describe many of your personal high risk situations for using
  • Develop coping responses for those situations and practice them in advance
  • Develop your ability to scan your thoughts and feelings to identify when you are mad, sad or worried, so that you can use coping responses for anger, depression, and anxiety before they build to high levels
  • Develop your ability to scan your environment for risks, so you can take action early to avoid being caught off guard
