Self-Efficacy

  • Self-efficacy is the degree to which you feel confident and capable of performing a certain behaviour in a specific situation
  • Self-efficacy is directly linked to your probability of relapse, it is the degree to which you feel confident and capable of:
  • Managing high risk situations for using
  • Maintaining abstinence
  • The more confident you are, the more likely you will succeed in managing high risk situations and your regular daily stresses that can lead to lapse and relapse
