How Much Sleep Is Necessary?
- No one can live without any sleep
- 2/3 of people sleep an average of 7 ½ hrs per day
- How much sleep you need depends on:
- Genetics
- Overall state of health
- Among the general population:
- A very few people need only 4 to 6 hours a day
- A very few people need a lot or 9 to 10 hours a day
- Most people need 7 or 8 hours of sleep per day
