Partial Sleep Deprivation: Some Sleep But Not What You Need

  • After one night of short sleep most people function near their normal level
  • After 2 or more nights:
  • Increased irritability and sleepiness
  • Work performance suffers
  • Headaches, stomach aches, and joint pains
  • Risk of falling asleep while working or driving
