Lesson 6: Managing Cravings And Urges - Slide 18

Become An Impartial Spectator
- It’s like becoming an impartial observer of your own thoughts
- It requires resolving not to give in to the painful thought or feeling
- It requires, anticipation and acceptance
- Anticipation means you get ready to label the cravings and urges before they come so you don’t have the excuse of being caught off guard
- Acceptance means you give up guilt and recrimination when you experience the thought or urge and you resolve to keep on going with your skill development
