- Make a conscious effort to keep firmly grounded in reality
- Avoid being tricked into thinking
that the feeling that you need to
drink, use, gamble or have sex is a real need: it is not
- Your thoughts and urges are symptoms of an impulse control disorder
- Your brain is sending false messages
