Physical Activity Changes Your Brain

  • The brain needs oxygen
  • Walking, running or any cardiovascular exercise strengthens your heart
  • More blood flows to your brain
  • People who do a lot of physical activity feel mentally sharper
  • As it receives regular increased blood supply, the brain creates new neurons
  • Whatever keeps the heart and blood vessels fit keeps the brain fit… good diet and regular exercise
  • Simply walking at a good pace stimulates the growth of new neurons
