Alcohol Addiction Leads To Poor Diet And Vitamin Deficiency

  • Beer drinkers who continue to eat food as well as drink, gain excessive weight
  • Hard liquor drinkers who consume 1 or more quarts per day lose weight and become undernourished
  • Alcoholism is the most common cause of thiamine deficiency in the USA
  • Inadequate supply of thiamine, a B Vitamin, causes weakness, fatigue, psychosis, and nerve damage
  • Inadequate supply of B Vitamins has been linked to depression
  • Alcoholism leads to deficiencies of magnesium, zinc, and other vitamins
